Since 2005, Bénédicte Nicolaïdes is specialized in the restoration of ceramics such as earthenwares, porcelains, terracottas, stonewares, etc… and her field of action also spread over art objects like plaster sculptures, enamels, contemporary painted resins…
Her academic and professional background is a trustworthy and a quality guarantee. After studying archeology at the very prestigious Sorbonne University in Paris, she attended the Parisian Ecole de Condé in 2002 and graduated 3 years later in Restoration of ceramic works of Art. She then enhanced her knowledge within a private Parisian workshop before opening her own business in 2010 in the nearby southern suburb of Paris.
She works now for a private and professional clientele (including Parisian contemporary arts galleries such as the Sibman Gallery, Jacob Paulett Gallery or Colorfield Gallery) that gives her the opportunity to work with a large variety of pieces of art, from medieval tiles to very contemporary Hiro Ando resins sculptures. Each time, her approach claims to be as deontological as possible with the use of reversible techniques and products, in the respect of the object and its integrity.
